For more than three decades, Marti has contributed to the architecture, development, and deployment of best-in-class integrated solutions for some of the extreme storage, input/output and computation needs of the 21st century. Starting with the challenges of spectroscopic instrumentation data acquisition and real-time data analysis, her focus grew to encompass total HPC systems behavior including global scheduling and system performance optimization issues. Her proven skills in architecture and complex systems modeling and in successfully leading multi-company and geographically distributed project teams composed of diverse talents, personalities, and ethnic backgrounds have assisted a number of government programs. She is currently a SME contractor and a member of the government team for the OPERA program.
Marti’s employment history includes (not in chronological order) one scientific instrumentation vendor, several computer vendors (including “classic” Cray), one federal system integrator (Honeywell), and three small consulting firms specializing in HPC/HPEC for DoD applications where she was used by other FSIs and government agencies as a SME. She has given numerous technical presentations throughout her long career, has assisted in organizing technical sessions at several conferences, and is a patent-holder (atomic spectroscopic instrumentation).
