Michael Koller is the Data Systems Manager for the Mission Control Systems for the Copernicus fleet of Sentinel spacecraft in the European Space Agency. He is also the Technical Officer for the Master Key Management Facility for the Sentinels. Michael is based in the European Space Operations Centre in Darmstadt, Germany. As part of his duties he served as Software Coordinator in the Mission Control Team for the launch of the Sentinel-1a spacecraft in April 2014. Michael is a 2006 Computing Science graduate from the University of Passau (Bavaria, Germany) and a 2011 Master of Space System Engineering graduate from the Technical University of Delft (The Netherlands). In 2006 Michael joined the European Space Agency to support the TO for the Aeolus MCS and to contribute to the CCSDS XTCE standard. In 2008, he transitioned to the Earth Observation Mission Data Systems Section and assumed his current responsibilities.
